Anker SOLIX: energy you can carry, store and control
Portable power stations, solar generators and LiFePO4 home batteries: Anker SOLIX, Anker's energy range, runs from camping trips to backup power for the whole house.

A power station you pull along like a suitcase, a home battery that grows module by module, a screen that lights up on its own when someone walks up to it: Anker SOLIX brings all of this under one name. It is Anker’s energy range. It is organised into three families, running from outdoor adventures to backup power for an entire house. All of them are built on LiFePO4 batteries and on an app that lets you monitor and control everything from your mobile phone.
The energy arm of Anker
Anker SOLIX is the part of Anker that produces, stores and distributes electricity. It designs portable power stations, solar generators, home batteries and backup power systems for the home.
The parent brand describes itself as a charging-technology pioneer of ten years’ standing. It states that it is available in 146 countries and has sold more than 200 million products worldwide. Anker SOLIX, for its part, claims a recognised track record in sustainable energy solutions.
The brand likes to tell its story as a series of technological milestones. In 2018, it claimed autonomous, carbon-free electricity. In 2021, it announced a service life six times longer than that of products with NCM batteries. In 2022, Anker SOLIX stated that it had cut energy waste by 60%, compared with the average efficiency of other products. These milestones show the direction the range has taken: batteries that last, and energy that is lost as little as possible along the way.
Three families, three uses
The range is split into three series, each with its own purpose.
The Camping Series is built around portable energy, the kind you take along on an adventure. It is the outdoor family, far from any wall socket.
The Flex Series covers a wider range. It goes from life in a campervan to backup power for the home. If you spend your summers on the road and also want an electricity reserve at home, this is the family that links the two.
The Home Energy Solutions are aimed at making the house energy independent. Their screen detects presence and lights up automatically: the information appears as soon as you walk up to the unit.
Two ideas run through the range. The first is mobility: the EasyTow handle is retractable and lets you pull the unit along like a suitcase. The second is modularity. You can start from a basic system, then add modules until it can back up the whole house. The installation grows with your needs.
Batteries, electronics and control
The technical heart of the range is the LiFePO4 batteries, rated for 3,000 cycles. The more charge and discharge cycles a battery can take, the longer it stays in service: this figure is what underpins the brand’s promise of longevity.
Around the battery, Anker SOLIX highlights its GaNPrime technology. It reduces energy losses and heat dissipation. In practice, a smaller share of the stored electricity turns into heat, and the unit runs cooler while it works.
Control is handled through an app. It lets you manage the devices remotely, from your phone. For the home, consumption is tracked by the Smart Energy Metering System, paired with the Anker app. You can see what you use as the day goes by.
As for getting started, the products are designed to be ready to use.
Service life and oceans
The brand states that it designs long-lasting products, built to last. This commitment rests on the milestones it puts forward: the service life six times longer than that of NCM batteries announced in 2021, and the 60% cut in energy waste claimed in 2022.
Beyond its products, Anker SOLIX has a partnership with the NGO Oceana to protect the oceans.
The brand is also the official charging partner of JerryRigEverything. It is a choice that puts its products in front of an audience that pays close attention to how well objects are built.
The latest milestones
In 2023, Anker SOLIX announced a new step: a 6,000-cycle LFP battery with a 15-year service life. The figure is double that of the 3,000-cycle LiFePO4 batteries that equip the range.
In 2024, the brand announced a 6,000 W AC output with dual 120 V/240 V voltage. It is a power rating designed for the home rather than for camping.
In Europe, Anker SOLIX has launched a balcony solar system called “Plug-and-Power”. The idea is to produce your own electricity at home, from nothing more than a balcony. Anker has also launched a website in French, which speaks directly to a French-speaking audience.
From the tent to the balcony, and on to the whole house, the range follows one common thread: store energy, move it when you need to, and keep control of your consumption.
Why we like it
We like the EasyTow handle, which lets you pull a power station along like a suitcase. We also like the idea of a system that starts small and grows module by module, all the way to backup power for the whole house.
Exactly the kind of brand we’d love to come across on O!deal one day.
