What it is

The Xtrem Flash Gloss Kit is a semi-permanent manicure set from Manucurist, a Parisian nail polish brand. According to the brand, it brings together everything needed to do the application at home: a Green Flash semi-permanent polish in the Gloss shade, a pale pink with pearly glints, a vitamin-enriched base coat, an Xtrem Flash top coat, a Green Flash remover, five removal clips and a 36 W LED lamp.

The principle is that of semi-permanent polish: each layer hardens under the LED lamp instead of air-drying. The brand describes a three-step application, for a result it calls professional at home.

Why it exists

The brand’s story begins in 1996, in Paris, with the first manicure salon opened by Fanny Lebrat, who gave it the name Manucurist. Her daughter, Gaëlle Lebrat Personnaz, took over the family business in 2016, after working for major luxury houses. She says she wanted to create an alternative to traditional semi-permanents, whose removal is done with a sander or acetone.

This is the Green Flash range, launched in 2019 according to the brand. The Xtrem Flash top coat, which gives the kit its name, is new for autumn 2026: Premium Beauty News places it in September. It gets a special mention in the presentation of the kit, with the promise of a domed finish.

What matters

Application follows three stages, which the brand details. First, a thin coat of vitamin-enriched base coat, cured for a minute under the lamp. Then two thin coats of colour, each one minute under the lamp. Finally the Xtrem Flash top coat, applied to four fingers laid flat, thumb excepted, then to the thumb separately, using the lamp’s Top Coat programme. The brand explains this instruction: it stops the gel texture from slipping into the cuticles and causing premature lifting.

According to the brand, the base coat contains the patented KeraHCE+ technology. The top coat has a gel texture, which the brand says is designed to form a shield with a domed finish. There is no need to prime or degrease the top coat after curing, it states, but any knock to the polish should be avoided during the following five minutes.

A second point from the brand: Xtrem Flash and Green Flash manicures are used only with products from the Green Flash range. They are not compatible with the Green and Active ranges, or with other brands. For the range, the brand recommends an LED lamp of at least 18 W; the one in the kit is 36 W.

Day to day

According to the brand, express application takes twenty minutes. It states a wear time of up to 21 days, specifying that this applies with the Xtrem Flash top coat, and that wear can depend on how the hands are used and on the nature of the nails. Drying is immediate under the lamp.

At the end of the manicure comes removal. The brand describes it as without acetone and without sanding. With the Xtrem Flash top coat, it states that removal takes ten minutes: you soak small cotton pads in remover, hold them on each nail with the clips supplied, then take them off one by one. The kit’s five clips are for this. For the method, the brand advises preparing ten cotton pads, one per nail.

In its recommendations, the brand suggests degreasing the nails with a gentle acetone-free remover, applying very thin coats and capping the free edge of the nail with a light stroke of the brush. It also offers, in its Green Flash kits, access to step-by-step video tutorials.

One last storage point: the brand advises closing the bottle as soon as possible and keeping it cool, in the fridge for example.

Why it caught our eye

We spotted it for its kit logic: everything needed for a three-step application fits in one box, from the base coat bottle to the lamp and the removal clips. We also like the pine-green bottles and the Gloss shade, a pale pink with pearly glints.

Exactly the kind of brand we’d love to come across on O!deal one day.
