Olow: French fashion, made where artists meet Portuguese workshops
Clothing designed with artists and made in Portugal, in family-run workshops: a portrait of Olow, between responsible materials and capsule collections.

A fashion brand that puts an artist’s name on a jumper’s label isn’t all that common. Olow has made it a principle: designing its clothing in dialogue with creatives, then having each piece made in family-run workshops in Portugal. The approach fits in one simple sentence, yet it shapes everything else, from the choice of materials to the way each new piece is presented.
Fashion born of dialogue
Olow isn’t a brand that designs alone in a corner. It states that it creates its clothing in collaboration with artists, an approach that runs through its entire catalogue. Today it has two physical addresses, one in Le Marais in Paris, the other in Nantes. Two anchor points in France, for a brand that manufactures abroad.
Jackets, jumpers and collaborations
Olow’s catalogue is built around outerwear and knitwear designed to last season after season rather than to chase a passing trend. The Sherwood jacket, in wool lined with cotton flannel, illustrates this taste for warm, structured materials. The Yarm jacket, meanwhile, leans towards workwear, with a sturdy fabric softened with lyocell for extra comfort without losing its shape. Alongside these jackets, the brand offers jumpers, some featuring a wool embroidery designed with the artist 3TTMAN, proof that the collaboration doesn’t stop at a marketing line but shows up in the yarn and fabric themselves.
The choice of Portuguese workshops
All of Olow’s production takes place in Portugal, in workshops the brand describes as family-run. This choice isn’t incidental: it implies smaller volumes, European textile know-how, and geographical proximity to France that makes it easier to oversee manufacturing. In practical terms, for whoever wears a Sherwood jacket or an embroidered jumper, this means a piece that comes from a short supply chain rather than a large-scale offshored production line.
The latest releases
Late summer was a busy period for Olow. The Sherwood jacket, in wool lined with cotton flannel, arrived on 25 September 2026, two days after the Yarm jacket with its lyocell-softened workwear fabric, released online on 23 September 2026. A few weeks earlier, on 6 September 2026, the brand had unveiled a new collection of jumpers and jackets, with the standout piece remaining that wool embroidery designed with the artist 3TTMAN. Three closely spaced releases showing a quickened pace, built for the start of the cold season.
Why we like it
We love this idea of clothing as a meeting ground between a workshop and an artist, where an embroidery or a cut tells the story of a collaboration rather than just a collection. We also note the deliberate choice to manufacture in Portugal, within family-run businesses, rather than scattering production across the globe.
Exactly the kind of brand we’d love to come across on O!deal one day.
