pernoire: the Swiss perfume house two childhood friends built together

Since 2020, pernoire has released a dozen Extraits de Parfum across two collections, Anima and Odus, from an independent Swiss house founded by lifelong friends.

pernoire began in 2020, when childhood friends Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino set out to build an independent perfume house of their own. From Switzerland, the pair started creating Extraits de Parfum organised into two collections, Anima and Odus, alongside discovery sets and travel-size formats. The founders describe their fragrances as a reflection of who they are and what they care about. Six years on, that idea has grown into a catalogue of a dozen scents, each launched as its own chapter rather than a seasonal collection drop.

The Story

Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino knew each other long before pernoire existed. The house’s independence is not a footnote for the founders: it runs through how the brand talks about itself, framing each new fragrance as a personal statement rather than a market response.

The Range

pernoire’s catalogue is split into two collections. Anima opened the brand’s story, starting with Tierra, a fruity and balsamic scent, followed over the years by Amoral (smoky and woody), Mansa (floral and balsamic), Naki (fruity and floral), Kama (sweet and leathery) and Otimo (spicy and sweet). Odus followed, beginning with Poka, gourmand and amber, then Anelo, fruity and fresh, Melos, inspired by Cleopatra VII, Oudian, built around oud and spice, Yuma, aromatic and citrus, and most recently Luvani, floral and sweet, built on vanilla and incense.

Alongside the two collections, pernoire offers discovery sets for people who want to explore several scents before settling on one, and travel-size formats for those who want to carry a fragrance without committing to a full bottle. Anima and Odus each have their own dedicated travel size.

Extrait Strength

Every pernoire fragrance is presented as an Extrait de Parfum, the most concentrated form a perfume can take. The travel-size bottles make that concentration explicit: the Anima travel format is a 7.5 ml bottle at 25% concentration, while the Odus travel format is a 7.5 ml bottle at 30%. For anyone comparing formats, that is a meaningful detail — an Extrait de Parfum carries a higher proportion of fragrance oil than the eau de parfum or eau de toilette formats more commonly found on shelves, which is part of why the brand builds its whole range around this one format rather than offering lighter alternatives.

What pernoire Stands For

pernoire presents itself first and foremost as an independent and Swiss perfume house, a status the brand repeats rather than treats as incidental. Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino frame their fragrances as personal rather than trend-driven, saying their scents are meant to reflect who they are and what they are passionate about. It is a small house’s argument for staying small: fewer releases, but each one tied to something the founders say matters to them.

Right Now

pernoire has kept up a steady rhythm of releases within its Odus collection. The most recent is Luvani, launched in August 2026, a floral and sweet fragrance built on vanilla and incense. It followed Yuma, launched in February 2026, described as aromatic and citrus. Before that came Oudian, an oud and spice fragrance launched in September 2025 alongside the Odus travel-size format, then Melos in May 2025, inspired by Cleopatra VII, and Anelo in February 2025, fruity and fresh. Anima, the brand’s original collection, has been quieter more recently, with Otimo as its latest addition in August 2024.

Why we like it

We like that pernoire builds its catalogue one fragrance at a time, each with its own mood, rather than chasing seasonal drops. The split between Anima and Odus, and the addition of travel-size extraits, makes it easy to imagine how a whole scent wardrobe could take shape over time.

Exactly the kind of brand we’d love to come across on O!deal one day.
