Gozney: the pizza ovens born in an English garden

Born in 2010 around an oven built in a garden, Gozney makes outdoor pizza ovens, from the portable to the large Dome, all gas-fired and some also wood-fired.

It all begins with an oven built in a garden. Telling his own story, Tom Gozney explains that this first oven looked like a makeshift job, but the pizza was good and he got hooked. His name is now that of a British brand with a single subject, cooking over fire: outdoor ovens that reach 500 °C, run on gas and, for the largest, also on wood or charcoal.

An oven, a garden, a name

According to the press release the brand put out in February 2026, Gozney was founded in 2010; it describes itself as based in Bournemouth, England. Tom Gozney, now the brand’s founder and designer, says he was twenty-one when he built that first oven. Cooking over fire became for him a craft to master, and a way of getting closer to other people.

Gozney presents itself as the British leader in restaurant ovens. It says it drew on that professional experience to make the ovens it intends for the home, with the same care for heat retention and flame. Its mission, as it puts it: to change the way the world cooks outdoors.

From the Roccbox to the Dome

The current range reads like a ladder. The Roccbox, which the brand presents as the first portable oven with a stone floor, is still in the catalogue. Next come the Tread, which it describes as its most portable oven, then the Arc series, with the Arc Lite, the Arc and the Arc XL, and finally the Dome (Gen 2) and Dome XL (Gen 2), the largest.

All the models in the brand’s comparison chart share a side gas burner. The Arc Lite, the Arc, the Arc XL and the Tread run on propane only. The Dome (Gen 2) models can be fired with propane, wood or charcoal. Pizza size varies: twelve inches for the Arc Lite and the Tread, sixteen inches for the Arc XL, eighteen for the Dome XL. Around the ovens, the shop offers stands, covers, peels, infrared thermometers, pizza cutters and a recipe book.

What they take care over

The stone and the flame play the leading role. According to the brand, the side flame “rolls” across the oven’s roof like a wood fire, and the cordierite floor gives the heat back evenly. This floor is removable on every model in the comparison chart; it measures 12 mm on the Arc Lite, 20 mm on the Arc and the Arc XL, and 30 mm on the Dome models. The shop sells replacement floors and spare parts.

The comparison chart also lists one, two or three layers of insulation depending on the model. On the Arc Lite, the gas hose is attached to the oven, which, according to the brand, means it can be set up without tools. The warranty extends to five years when the oven is registered within sixty days of purchase.

What the brand stands for

Gozney’s conviction comes down to one idea from its founder: everyone deserves to cook over a real fire. The brand writes that it wants to offer the greatest number of people another way of cooking, because, it says, cooking over fire can change the way you prepare food, and even the way you live.

It also states that its home ovens are made for outdoor use only, and that its warranty applies only in the countries where it sells directly to its customers. Around the ovens, it keeps up a community, pizza classes and local events, as well as a video series, “How to Pizza”.

Right now

Gozney introduced the Arc Lite on 17 February 2026, with sales starting on 3 March 2026. According to the brand, it is the most compact oven in the Arc series: 12 kg, a 325 mm opening for 12-inch pizzas, a front dial and the gas hose attached. It sees in it the power and control of its large ovens, brought down to a lightweight format.

Since then the shop has offered, around this oven, an “Essentials” accessory bundle and a gas hose suited to Germany.

Why we like it

We like Gozney's consistency: a single gesture, cooking over fire, applied from the oven you can move to the oven that stays in the garden. We also like the story its founder tells, and the way the Arc Lite keeps, on a smaller scale, the side flame of the large models.

Exactly the kind of brand we’d love to come across on O!deal one day.
